Dissolving My Surroundings, Searching for Something Better
This series represents a continued shift — an attempt to reimagine our everyday spaces through new ways of seeing. Learning to find beauty in ordinary objects makes life feel richer and more meaningful. This
body of work offers a deeper analysis of colours and forms, treating them as autonomous elements rather than fragments of a larger picture. Through this approach, the images become increasingly abstracted — at times unrecognizable, yet still emotionally grounded in the natural world. Across the four final paintings, there is a progression from representational reference toward pure sensation — increasingly prioritizing light over form. Rather than using the natural colours from the original plant photography, I painted how it feels to focus on a single aspect of a subject, separated from the whole. To emphasize this transition, the sides of each canvas are glazed with successive hues that visually link them to the one before.
